Mission

HAG aims to decrease incidence (new infection) of viral Hepatitis and improve the quality of life of people infected with Hepatitis through behaviour change communication, education, counselling, psycho-social support and follow up care.

Core Functions

• Raising public awareness about Hepatitis infection, particularly amongst the youth and women in their reproductive age
• Capacity building of healthcare providers on prevention and management of viral hepatitis
• Provision of psycho-social support for persons living with viral Hepatitis and their families
• Influencing public health policy and practice on Hepatitis B and C infection
• Designing and disseminating viral Hepatitis educational materials via various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp
• Disseminating Hepatitis research findings through scientific conferences and workshop
• Collaborating with other organisations that share similar vision
